About Double Happiness
Amy and Michael Lam purchased the restaurant in 1995, and transformed the quiet establishment into one that was a bustling, lively star of the Kootenays. Having learned the art and craft of Chinese cuisine in Calgary, Amy and Michael brought the big city to the little town of Trail BC. Ginger beef, Sweet and Sour Chicken, BBQ pork, Double Happiness quickly became famed for these specialty dishes, and now Michael and Amy are bringing the taste of Vietnam and Thailand to the Kootenays, with our Pho and Pad Thai dishes, respectively.About The Buffet
Sometimes we want options, and Double Happiness is more than happy to oblige. Available both Lunch and Dinner, we have a delicious buffet with over 30 items, from appetizing Wonton Soup and salads, to main courses like Chicken Fried Rice and Ginger beef, to even dessert. Whatever you’re in the mood for, we probably serve it, and many other delicious options you’ll adore!
Ok this restaurant opened my taste buds to a whole new level of existence. I now know why they call it double happiness because it more than is. This now my happy place I love it seriously!
